Algarve - Trendy baby friendly hotels
Babymoons are all the rage at the moment for couples expecting their first child, but that shouldn’t mean that travel adventures need cease once baby is born. After all, new parents probably need a holiday more than anyone else!
However, travelling with a baby when you are taking your holidays from Belfast and Dublin, can be hard work. There’s endless baby paraphernalia to cart around and many favourite old haunts may not be baby-friendly or appropriate once there’s a tot in tow. Thankfully, new parents need no longer resort to bland, traditional family-friendly hotels for a convenient stay with the wee one.
Portugal's coolest baby-friendly hotels:
MARTINHAL BEACH RESORT AND HOTEL, PORTUGAL
The picturesque Martinhal Beach Resort and Hotel has a helpful baby concierge service that allows guests to pre-book buggies, bottle sterilisers, thermometers, cots and even nappies prior to arrival.
There’s also a crèche for babies aged six months and older which is assigned one child-minder to every three children. And if you think your tot has been a little stressed lately, you can always bring him to the spa to learn some baby massage techniques!
PINE CLIFFS VILLAGE HOTEL, PORTUGAL
Also on the Algarve, Pine Cliffs has an excellent children’s club called Globetrotters which caters for infants from four months and serves delicious, healthy food created exclusively for the resort.
The Globetrotters childcare team will find out about your baby’s routine, likes and dislikes before you get to the resort so they can keep him or her happy and settled throughout your stay.
Each nanny takes care of only two children aged three and under at a time, so your baby will get individual attention as well as fresh purees prepared onsite daily – staff can even cater to any special dietary needs.
